Primary Responsibility:

JOB FUNCTION:
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the overall operations management of the Banking Office. Responsible for assisting in the development of profitable business relationships with clients in the market, organizing effective sales efforts that deliver quality service, operating an efficient banking office while protecting the assets of the Bank, training/developing the banking office staff, and preparing and monitoring the branch budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Assists in the on-going business development of the market area through proactive sales/cross selling, networking, and formulation of sales strategies to meet or exceed all consumer loans, deposits and fee income goals.
? Identifies and refers Commercial, Corporate, Trust, and Small Business customers to the appropriate department as necessary.
? Works along with the Banking Office Manager to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times to provide high quality customer service.
? Assists the Banking Office Manager in controlling operation/administration expenses.
? Prepares annual branch budget under the direction of the Branch Manager, tracks actual and budget figures, and explains budget variances.
? Monitors the efficiencies of production standards.
? Monitors and recommends training needs for the Banking Office personnel and motivates the staff to attain high quality customer service standards, sales, and profit goals.
? Works along with the Banking Office Manager to ensure that regulatory compliance standards are met.
? Ensures all staff members adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures.
? Represents Whitney National Bank in a professional manner at all civic and community affairs on an as needed basis.
? Monitors daily transactions including NSF, OD, etc. and takes appropriate action within authority to maintain operations within established guidelines.
? Ensures that all customer problems are resolved.
? Works in conjunction with the Banking Office Manager in the supervision of the daily operations/functions of the banking office personnel. Works along with the Banking Office Manager in completing performance appraisals, provides training, recommends promotion and participates in the interview process of new employees, makes salary and termination recommendations.
? Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
? Incumbent is required to comply will all applicable federal, state and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the bank Secrecy Act.
? Incumbent is responsible for organizational integrity and business ethics as it relates to this position, and communicating this commitment to any applicable subordinates.
Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
? College degree in Marketing, Finance, or Management or equivalent work experience.
? 1+ years of supervisory experience.
? Proven successful sales/business development experience.
? 3 years branch banking experience to include exposure to all facets of the banking office functions/operations, consumer, small business, and other applicable banking office services/products offered by the banking office to the customers. The incumbent should also be knowledgeable in the loan application process to include accepting applications, gathering any necessary information and processing any applicable documentation in order to successfully package a loan application.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
? Knowledge of Personal Computers, Microsoft Windows Operating systems and applications.
? Basic understanding of consumer and small business lending and investment products.
? Working knowledge of the banking office operations/functions.
? Knowledge of all banking office products.
? Understanding of the loan application process.

? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 50 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
